So here we go - FINALLY making our second full-length album. If it seems like we've been waiting in anticipation for years, well, it's 'cos we have been! It goes without saying that we're excited to start work.
This micro-site will serve as a documentary of sorts - we'll try to keep up with all the latest sound, pics, video and embarrassing details as we record and mix - did we mention that we're working off the original EMI console used to make Dark Side of the Moon? (see pic to the left). Dag, yo.
We'll be holed up in Barefoot Studios in Hollywood, CA through February-ish. Barefoot is an amazing space owned and operated by our producer and friend, Eric Valentine. The place has quite a history - lots of great records were made here, including Songs in the Key of Life - Stevie's grand piano still lives in the main room! We have a suitcase of about 16 songs. Some new, some old - we've spent a lot of time and a great deal of care choosing the tunes - we had about 25 that could've made it to an album in one form or another, but chose the songs that worked well together and best represented where our heads and hearts are at.

Simply put, we listen to and obsess about music all the effing time and have (quite literally) had our lives changed by great records. So... it almost sounds sappy or pretentious, but... we want to make a great record. We're not even sure if it'll ever be "released". Honestly, we kinda don't care. We just want to walk away from this experience knowing we did everything we could to make the best record we've made yet. ('Uh, dudes? You've only made one!')
